Migration

Bobbie and I have recently migrated south. We are enjoying the warmth and sun in Florida (even though it hasn't been as warm as previous years) and our life near the ocean. The view of the water, watching the birds and creatures who live here, time in my studio. It is good to be back and to feel relaxed in the way we have come to associate with our Florida home.

  1. Wait I just wrote you some fanmail and was about to send it to:

    P.O. Box 485
    Northampton, MA 01060
    USA

but now that you've migrated I'm thinking it's gonna take you a long time to get it if I send it there... where should I send it?

  3. Enjoy your time in FL and bring some of that sun back with you to Massachusetts. We are all beginning to forget what that feels like! ;)

  4. Dear Mr. Carle,
I am studying to be an elementary school teacher at Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland. I am currently doing a study of your work in a children's literature class. It was my choice to study your work because I have loved your books ever since I can remember. My mom and I used to read your books all the time. My favorite one was The Grouchy Ladybug. My mom and I still tease each other by saying, " You want to fight?" Clearly, I have wonderful memories connected to your work.
I would appreciate if you would share some information for my author study. Some questions I have are: What made you want to become a writer? What is your favorite book that you have written? Do you think your former teachers contributed to your success as a writer? If you could give some advice to future teachers about children's literature, what would it be?
I would love to hear from you if possible and I am glad you are enjoying the sunshine in Florida! Keep writing amazing books!
    Sincerely,
    Lindsay
